The Book of Acts describes the church as it was established by the disciples of Jesus starting on the Day of Pentecost in AD 33.
After the deaths of the apostles, Christianity began to move away from the cornerstone that had been laid by Jesus. Greek philosophy entered into the faith which culminated with the rise of the Catholic church (and the start of the Dark Ages). Syncretism (the blending of different beliefs) became the primary method to expand Catholic influence in Europe and beyond. The Bible was kept locked up behind the veil of a dead language (Latin) for centuries until the invention of the printing press around 1436. As the Scripture was translated and published, this resulted in the Reformation Period of 1517 to 1648. Many denominations sprung forth, but it wasn't until the widespread outpouring of the Holy Ghost beginning in 1901 that RESTORATION became truly possible. |

When Jewish Christians came under persecution and were wavering, they were tempted to return to the traditions and legalism of Judaism. What can we learn from this letter, especially when we are shunned by others for our faith in Jesus?

Pre-destination, Original Sin, Sin Nature and The Eternal Son are doctrines that continue to poison Christianity to this day.
